What Is the Shugarman's Bath In-Stock Program?
The Shugarman’s Bath In-Stock Program allows homeowners to choose from stocked shower materials so they can start their shower remodel sooner than the standard timeline. A custom shower remodel timeline often takes around six to eight weeks before installation begins because materials must first be manufactured, shipped, and delivered for the project.
With the In-Stock Program, you can select from these available options during your design consultation and have your installation date scheduled within two weeks of signing the contract.
Because materials are already stored in our inventory, they’re ready for installation as soon as your project is scheduled. Your tub or shower installation can be as early as five business days after you say yes to your design. You’re not waiting for products to be manufactured and shipped from our supplier.
Shugarman’s Bath also reserves installation slots each week specifically for In-Stock Program projects. Your consultant can reserve one of those installation dates right away. Installation slots are limited each week. Availability varies based on how full the schedule is at the time of your consultation.
What Shower Materials Are Included in the Shugarman’s Bath In-Stock Program?
The In-Stock Program has popular shower wall styles, bases, and finishes that many homeowners frequently choose.
Some examples of these designs include:
- Calcutta Marble
- Grayline Fairfield
- White and Matte White wall styles
- Travertine designs
- Scallop
Keep in mind that the materials available in the program may change over time. Trending colors or patterns may be added. Less popular options may be removed from the program.
If you want to see the full list of available walls, bases, sizes, and accessories, you can explore them on the Shugarman’s Bath In-Stock Program page.
Does the In-Stock Program Change the Cost of a Shower Remodel?
Choosing the In-Stock Program does not add any additional cost to your shower remodel. As long as you select materials that are part of the program, the remodel price stays the same.
If you decide to change certain fixtures or accessories that are not included in the stocked inventory, those items may need to be rush-ordered. A rush fee may apply in such situations. Other than that, the In-Stock Program does not increase the remodel cost.
Are There Any Limitations to the In-Stock Program?
Yes. To keep materials available for faster installation, the In-Stock Program focuses on a limited group of designs. If you’re looking for highly customized wall styles or specialty materials outside of the program, you will be restricted to the six to eight-week project start time.
There are also a few situations outside the contractor’s control that may affect the installation schedule, such as HOA approval requirements or HOA water shut-off restrictions. In these cases, your installation may need to wait until those approvals happen. Thankfully, the materials are already reserved for your project, so installation can begin as soon as those requirements are cleared.
Who Is the In-Stock Program Best For?
If you’re someone who wants a faster timeline for your shower remodel, the In-Stock Program is perfect for you. It’s reasonable if you don’t want to wait over a month for your project to start.
The In-Stock Program also works well if you need a shorter timeline. For example, it can be helpful if you need a safer shower ready for a family member returning home from medical rehab. It can also be helpful if you’re preparing a rental property for a new tenant.
This program doesn’t really work if you want a wider variety of wall styles, colors, and design options.

FAQs on Tub and Shower Remodeling:
Q: How long does a typical shower remodel take?
A typical shower remodel takes 1-2 days. More complex projects in larger areas can take longer.
Q: What materials do you use for your tub and shower products?
Our products are mainly composed of a material called BP-Cor2. It's a high-tech polymer made up of 15% acrylic and 85% ABS, the same material used to make football helmets. It's a step up from traditional tile and standard acrylic.
We can laser-etch grout lines into the material to give it the look of tile without the cleaning and maintenance that comes with it. We call it New World Tile.
Q: Do you remodel the whole bathroom or just the tub and shower area?
We're specialists in the tub and shower area. That's where our focus stays. For other parts of your bathroom, we work with trusted contractors regularly and can refer you to the right people at no extra charge. That referral can save you 10-20% on a larger project.
The opinions expressed in the referenced materials are those of the authors only, not necessarily of Shugarman’s Bath. While these referenced materials are useful in answering generalized questions, each bathroom is unique.
