Every honest Orange County bath and shower remodeler will carry a General Contractor's License.
We do.
Our competitors do.
And it’s called a Classification “B - General Building” License.
But a Class B General Building contractor’s license just is not enough to guarantee great results in the bath and shower world.
What’s less common, and not technically required for bath and shower remodelers to have is a plumbing license. By that we mean a Classification “C-36 Plumbing” License.
Most figure, “It’s not required, so why bother getting a plumbing license?”
Well, we did bother – and we’re BETTER bath and shower remodelers because of it.
If a ‘remodeler’ doesn’t have a C-36 Plumbing License, we highly recommend that you send them on their way. Otherwise, you could face serious issues with the quality of their workmanship and their ability to back their work with a reliable warranty.
We’re talking:
It’s expensive to fix these issues, and your unlicensed plumber likely won’t fix them for free.
And since a plumbing license isn’t required for most bath remodeling jobs in Orange County, plumbing mistakes happen all the time with other companies.
But there’s good news: At Shugarman’s Bath, we have both a General Building (B) License AND a C-36 Plumbing license.
So, not only are we great at installing beautiful baths and showers that last, you can also trust that your plumbing will always work the way it should.
In the wall behind your shower handle is a 5-inch valve which controls water temperature and pressure. It’s standard to replace this valve – almost every remodeling company does it (at least, they should).
So, when you ask them “Did you change the plumbing?” they might say “Yes.” But they are probably referring to the valve and only the valve. Even worse… their warranty probably only includes replacing the plumbing valve.
At Shugarman’s Bath, all of the plumbing behind the walls in the shower or bath area is covered by our lifetime warranty.
Plumbing pipes? Covered!
The diverter valve? Covered!
The intake (preventer) trap? Covered!
You won’t face expensive change orders or additional charges like you might see with “the other guys.” If it’s a plumbing part that’s associated with your new Shugarman’s Bath shower or bathtub, it’s covered by your warranty – for life.
The easiest solution? Choose us – Shugarman’s Bath. We have a plumbing license, and we’ll ensure your plumbing is how it should be before we leave the job site.
And just in case we make a mistake, you know you’re protected. After all, your warranty covers plumbing issues with your shower and bath.
And you can “fact check” us and every other Orange County bath remodeler you consider – it’s as easy as “1-2-3:”
You will see their “classifications. If they have a plumbing license, it’ll show as “C36-plumbing” (see below). If you don’t see this classification listed, it means they don’t have a plumbing license.
Although you can hire someone without a C36 Plumbing License, it’s risky. We strongly advise you to choose us, Shugarman’s Bath, and get the plumbing done right the first time.
